It applies to all users of the Ticetta platform, including event hosts and ticket buyers.

02

How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

  • Create and manage your Ticetta account.
  • Process ticket purchases and facilitate payouts to Hosts.
  • Send ticket confirmation emails and QR codes to Buyers after purchase.
  • Send transactional notifications related to your account or events.
  • Provide customer support and respond to enquiries.

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

03

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the following parties, and only to the extent necessary to operate the Platform:

  • Paystack — our payment processing partner. Buyers' payment details are handled directly by Paystack under their own privacy policy. We share only the information required to process and reconcile transactions.
  • Email service provider — we use a third-party provider to send transactional emails (ticket confirmations, account notifications). Only the recipient's name and email address are shared for this purpose.
  • Hosts — when a Buyer purchases a ticket, the Buyer's name, email address, and ticket type are visible to the Host for the purpose of event management and check-in. Hosts must not use this information for any other purpose.
  • Legal authorities — we may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or at the request of a Nigerian regulatory authority.
04

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Account data is retained for up to five years after account closure for compliance and dispute resolution purposes. Transaction records are retained for seven years in accordance with Nigerian financial record-keeping requirements. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us at hello@ticetta.com, subject to any overriding legal retention obligations.

05

Security

We implement technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. These include encrypted data storage, access controls, and secure HTTPS connections. Payment data is processed entirely by Paystack and is not stored on Ticetta servers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

06

Ticetta uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. These include:

  • Essential cookies — required for the Platform to function, including authentication and security cookies.
  • Analytics cookies — used to understand aggregate usage patterns. These do not identify you individually.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from logging in or using certain features.
