Terms of Service
Last updated: June 23, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Ticetta, an event ticketing platform operated by Ticetta ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or purchasing a ticket through Ticetta, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.
Definitions
In these Terms:
- Platform means the Ticetta website and services accessible at ticetta.com.
- Host means any registered user who creates and publishes events on the Platform.
- Buyer means any person who purchases a ticket through the Platform.
- Event means any gathering, experience, or activity listed by a Host on the Platform.
- Ticket means a digital proof of purchase that grants a Buyer entry to an Event.
Account Registration
To host events on Ticetta, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old to register as a Host. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is truthful and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or engage in activity that harms other users or the Platform.
Host Responsibilities
As a Host, you are solely responsible for the events you create, including their accuracy, legality, safety, and fulfilment. By publishing an event on Ticetta, you represent that:
- You have the legal right to organise and sell tickets for the Event.
- All event details — including date, venue, description, and ticket pricing — are accurate at the time of publication.
- The Event complies with all applicable Nigerian laws and regulations, including any permits or licences required.
- You will notify Buyers promptly of any material changes, postponements, or cancellations.
Ticetta acts as a technology intermediary only. We are not a party to the contract between Host and Buyer and are not responsible for the delivery, quality, or safety of any Event.
Fees and Payments
Creating an account and listing events on Ticetta is free. When you sell paid tickets, a service fee of 2.5% of the ticket price is added to the buyer's checkout total. A payment processing fee charged by our payment partner, Paystack, is also added on top. Both fees are borne by the Buyer — you receive the full ticket price you set.
Payouts are processed by Paystack and settled to your linked bank account. Settlement timelines are subject to Paystack's policies, typically within one to two business days of each transaction. Ticetta does not hold or control your funds.
For free events, no fees are charged to the Host or the Buyer.
Buyer Terms
When you purchase a ticket through Ticetta, you enter into an agreement directly with the Host. Ticetta facilitates the transaction but is not responsible for the Event itself.
Tickets are issued as digital QR codes sent to the email address provided at checkout. You are responsible for safeguarding your ticket. Lost or stolen tickets are the Buyer's responsibility and will not be reissued by Ticetta.
Refund eligibility is determined by the Host's refund policy. If an Event is cancelled by the Host, Buyers are entitled to a full refund. Ticetta will facilitate the refund process but is not itself liable for reimbursement where the Host is unable or unwilling to honour refunds.
Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Platform to:
- List events that are fraudulent, misleading, or designed to deceive Buyers.
- Sell tickets for events that promote illegal activity, violence, hate speech, or discrimination.
- Use automated means to scrape, crawl, or access the Platform without authorisation.
- Resell tickets purchased through the Platform at a price above their face value without the Host's written permission.
- Impersonate another person, company, or organisation.
- Interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the Platform.
We reserve the right to remove any event listing and suspend any account that we reasonably believe violates these prohibitions, without prior notice.
Intellectual Property
The Ticetta name, logo, platform design, and all related trademarks are the exclusive property of Ticetta. Nothing in these Terms grants you a licence to use our intellectual property.
By uploading content to the Platform (including event descriptions, images, and branding), you grant Ticetta a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and reproduce that content for the purpose of operating the Platform and promoting your event.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Ticetta and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or personal injury.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the fees paid to Ticetta in connection with the transaction giving rise to the claim.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
